Do you like the look of reclaimed wood, but maybe not so rustic. Modern versions are very sleek, clean lines, smooth wood. But just below the surface you can see the natural characteristics that make your table a one-of-a-kind; cracks, knots, dents, dings, old insect trails (don't worry, we kill all the bugs first by kiln drying)and natural edges.
The Bennett-Cargill table is considered a "Parsons" style table. There are many different versions of the "Parsons", but this is the one I came up for this family. They were looking for a modern look, but still have enough character to show without words that this table is made from reclaimed wood. See photos below of the construction process and finish product.
